I attended Harmony Elementary in the 70’s and Mr. Covington was my science teacher. He had the best laugh while trying to teach wild kids the scientific method. Sometimes I had to write “I will not chew gum in class” a hundred times - sometimes I had to run laps around the playing field. But mostly I remember being respected and learning to be respectful. Mr. Covington taught me to be the best at whatever I was doing and to be joyful while doing it. Close to 30 years later - my mom and I visited Mary Jo and Karon and we had lunch at their home. I wanted to thank him for all the wonderful things he taught me. He will be missed by so many! Thank you Mr. Covington.
